We’re living in a time where Artificial Intelligence is everywhere—at least in marketing pitches. Every week, I see self-proclaimed “AI Experts” pop up on LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube, offering to “transform your business with AI.”
The problem?
They don’t know the first thing about AI. They don’t use it in their own businesses. And they couldn’t tell you the difference between ChatGPT and a chatbot template if their life depended on it.
The AI Paradox: Selling What You Don’t Use
If you’re going to sell a service, you should at least understand it.
If you’re going to promise results, you should at least have proof you’ve achieved them.
And if you’re claiming to be a leader in the AI space, you should be living it—integrating it into your workflows, experimenting with new models, and building systems that actually make life easier.
Instead, too many “coaches” are taking the oldest scam in the book: sell people on the dream, do as little as possible, and pray they don’t notice you’ve delivered nothing of value. The only AI in their business is “Artificial Integrity.”
Why This Matters to Real Business Owners
Real AI adoption isn’t just about throwing buzzwords at clients—it’s about:
- Reducing repetitive workload so your staff can focus on higher-value work.
- Automating processes that save money and eliminate human error.
- Creating custom solutions tailored to your specific industry, not cookie-cutter scripts anyone can download.
When you hire a real AI solutions provider, they’ll be able to:
- Show you working examples of their own AI tools in action.
- Explain how the system works, not just what it does.
- Integrate it into your business in a way that actually produces measurable results.
My Advice: Ask for Receipts
Before you give anyone a dollar for “AI strategy” or “AI integration,” ask them:
- What AI tools do you personally use in your own business every single day?
- Can you walk me through one project you’ve successfully implemented for a client?
- What measurable results came from it?
If they can’t answer those questions without fumbling, they’re not an AI expert—they’re a sales script with a buzzword problem.
Real AI can transform your business.
Fake AI will just waste your money.
Know the difference.
